Hahahahaha, apparently not. We're having water pressure troubles again; the city knows and is working on it.

Should I apologize in advance for locusts, etc.? 😜

Jackie, we call it "runnin' on four then walkin' on two". You're in what I call a "Murphinian rift" if you're familiar with Murphy's law, or S.O.U.P. (shitstorm of unprecedented proportion) but to pare down and simplify, you're in the grip of entropy. It'll pass, just exercise good judgement.

Maybe this will seem corny, but let's be bold: visualize a portal and the side you're on is where the shit is happening; the other side is where you implement solutions. Visit that portal when you can while the shit is happening.

Jackie, I'm so sorry you're going through all this. You still have your sense of humor -- great song choice.

If you had chosen the Darth Vader theme song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bzWSJG93P8) I'd be worried!

Ha! Not only did I have to hear it way too often at a summer job, but we played a compilation of the original "Star Wars" soundtrack in high-school concert band. I think I've blocked most of the music from my mind, but your mention brought that piece right back. RIP James Earl Jones.

Yeah, it does suck, but there are upsides. The car was pretty old, and I bought it for a decent price, so we definitely got our money's worth out of it. I'd started to think about replacing it, as repairs were starting to get more frequent and expensive.

There are grocery stores within walking distance, so we can walk there and take an Uber home. Won't be as pretty as any of your hikes, but the exercise is much needed, and it will be a good opportunity to channel your mantra.

I’m glad you’re able to see the positive side of the whole situation, that’s half the battle right there!
