i'm getting tired of this
Another great song from The Blues Brothers came to mind today.
Much as I enjoy the late, great Fats Domino’s sound, I’m not at all happy for the reason ”I’m Walkin’” started playing on the radio station in my mind: my car was stolen. It was too old to justify comprehensive insurance, so … yeah. I know that everything that’s happened to me lately is random happenstance,1 but it’s starting to wear on me all the same.
Given the car’s age and complete lack of style, my guess is it was taken to be cannibalized, so I’m not at all optimistic I’ll ever see it again. The local police have done their thing, so all that’s left for me is to move ahead ... which is going to be by my feet for a while.
for those keeping score: sudden, major household upheaval; loss of internet and cellphone for over a week; burst water main left us without water for 1.5 days; and now this
Oh boy. Hope this run of difficulties is over now.
