By the late eighties I was already deeply entrenched in Neil Young's career (introduced to me around age 12, inspired me to take up guitar) and noticed his collaborations with Linda Ronstadt and Nicolette Larson around the Tonight's the Night and Harvest Moon period. We were a little angry about Nicolette Larson getting all the airtime with Lotta Love and the introduction of winds (purists) but secretly we still liked it as a great song.
Another classic from my Time Life soft rock megamix wake up playlist!! Not one quite at the level of “make me stay in bed for another song” but pretty close!!
Wow. Blast from the past. Did not know of her premature departure.
Great song! SO different from Neil Young's version. Don't know if it's true or not but I recall hearing she recorded this one while on roller skates!
I've always loved this song. Thanks for reminding me of it.

Neil Young always the outsider.

I LOVE this song and have never seen the video, so thank you. Her voice always reminds me of Stevie Nicks. And that hair!!!
My pleasure, Thea.
I marveled at her hair too. All that without extensions!
