I saw Triumph on their 'Allied Forces' tour (or was it 'Never Surrender'?). I was young, probably 12 or 13, and they had a super cool light show. The band's name was all lit up behind the drummer, and Rik Emmett's guitar could go from delicate, melodic solos to fast, anthemic stadium power riffs in seconds. I really liked them and kept their albums for decades. However, I never liked the songs that their drummer sang (or wrote), and they often took up half of the albums. In a recent cleanout of my collection, I decided it was time to purge the four Triumph LPs I owned ('Rock & Roll Machine,' 'Just A Game,' 'Allied Forces,' and 'Never Surrender').
🖖🎂🎉
Many happy returns! (And thanks for introducing me to the word 'squick'.)
Thanks, Peter. (I'm always surprised when I increase your vocabulary!)

Thanks for sharing, Michael. My brother said they put on a good show; alas, I never saw them.
I LOVE this song!!
Me too, Carrie-Ann. I was so relieved, but also surprised, to find that I hadn't featured it here yet.
Thanks for mentioning me! Sort of 😀
I wasn't sure if you'd be okay with me naming names, pointing fingers, whatever. Have fixed the piece, since you've outed yourself.
Just in case anyone else reading along is tempted, the first paragraph of this post has a short explanation of why we don't do requests here: https://musicoftheday.substack.com/p/13-jan-25-badfinger-no-matter-what
Congrats on two years Jackie!!
Thanks, Mark; and thank you for your contributions here!
