I'm waiting for your thoughts on Cat Stevens...

(that was a gnarly typo)

It was a rather dramatic change of meaning!

Any particular song of his? I'm quite curious about why he popped into your mind.

Not really, just the playlists that I listen to that have Al Stevens also includes songs by Cat Stevens. Plus my wife has several of his albums from her college days.

Gordon Lightfoot too. And Dan Hill.

Ah. I'll get to him and Gordon Lightfoot too at some point.

I haven't made a personal playlist in a very long time ... since I was on a Linux box. I grew up listening to albums and for the most part, when I'm listening to music, I still do.

I have one master playlist that I started back in 2004 or so called "Daily Grind". It has blues, rock, classic rock (when the fuck did Foo Fighters become classic rock?!?!?!?) hard rock, jazz, electronica, yacht rock, disco, modern rock, and classical guitar (John Williams and Julian Bream recorded some AMAZING duets), showtunes (Rocky Horror and Jesus Christ Superstar are my favorites).

Speaking of showtunes, I think my favorite movie soundtrack to play was *Star Wars* (the 1977 movie). It gave us flautists a workout, but was a lot of fun.
