Saw this earlier today elsewhere and marveled. DvD is one of the all time great performers. Thanks for sharing this.

Get the tissues ready is right! I've always loved Dick Van Dyke too, avid viewer of his TV shows and movies. He and Mickey Rooney made the Night at the Museum movies so much more fun, and Mary Poppins wouldn't have been the same without him.

Thanks for sharing this. I don't know Coldplay's or Chris Martin's music well either, so it was a nice intro to his talent.

As soon as I saw your avatar, I was certain we'd seen it on the same site.

Gotta be honest Jackie, generally there’s no way I’m watching a 7 1/2 minute Chris Martin video. While there were a handful of Coldplay songs I enjoyed over the years, Martin’s voice is one I find grating. But your description, and the little teaser for the ending, drew me in and I’m really glad I watched.

Dick Van Dyke was a little before my time (of course I saw him in Mary Poppins as a kid) but he’s definitely a treasure. Thanks for brightening my day with this one!!

I loved this. Dick Van Dyke is a legend and so was thrilled to see this joyous, heart-felt video. Chris Martin I’ve always thought was talented, but I find most everything from Coldplay fussy and oddly generic. The video of the band playing at I think Glastonbury with Michael J. Fox on guitar also got me in all the feels. So he/they can touch my heart and my ears so deeply, I just wish it was more often.

And so cool that Spike Jonze directed this! He’s a favorite director as well and I just rewatched “Her” which he directed.
