Agreed on friendship! Another great S&G song is "Old Friends" - less powerful than "Bridge" but deeply poignant.

Funny that you should comment here: a conversation we had a couple of months ago is the seed of my ruminations. I'll likely be following up there within a week or so.

I have "Old Friends" in my library! I was surprised to see that I have four S&G studio albums ... I was sure I had only a greatest-hits compilation. I'll listen to that song later today. Thank you for the recommendation ... and for being a steadfast friend, Peter.

Well said and I agree with the sentiments, as well as the appreciation of this song. The music and vocals are both heavenly.

For me, with certain songs it is a key change or chord progression that gives me the emotional response. Give this a listen https://open.spotify.com/track/4ZcCFaWb7SY0kI8BPzSEar?si=pmeFShydQCOS-Ty4w6BhQg and pay special attention around 1min20. Just sublime. Oh, make sure you hang around for the big finish.

Much as it pains me to say it, I discovered that power via Barry Manilow's music; we did a halftime show from his music, and he did have a way with key changes.

I'm very curious about your link, but I'm not on Spotify. Is it available on YouTube?

Curses. Must be a regional thing. I thought the internet was supposed to make life better. Third time's a charm ...
