Now that I've had some time to read his Wiki page, I think I'm more intrigued by the first movie he directed: "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother." Wilder, Madeline Kahn, Marty Feldman, and Dom DeLuise!

Eventually, Gene got the chance to direct movies himself. “The World’s Greatest Lover”, at least, is a very underrated film.
